Sharalyn Drayton

Sharalyn has written and presented on the topic of sex addiction, or what she calls “The Silent Addiction”, and the difficulties faced by partners and families trying to deal with this. Sharalyn was published on this topic by the Australian Counselling Association in their quarterly journal (“The Silent Addiction – How Do Partners Deal With Something They Struggle to Even Talk About” Vol.15, No.3, Spring 2015). Sharalyn is also the author of “Resistance to Resilience: Addiction, Co-dependency and Doing Life Differently” published in Perspectives on Coping and Resilience, Authorspress, 2013, and presented a paper titled Betrayal Trauma: Working with Partners of Sex Addicts at the Australia and New Zealand Addictions Conference in Queensland in 2017. This has since been published in Counselling Australia vol18 no.3 spring 2018. These publications are available to read on this website.
